We believe that we have earned your faith in our commitment to bringing GREAT MUSIC to the Downstate Illinois region. The programs we present bring culture, community, and entertainment to the Effingham area and beyond, and lift up & support artists while we’re at it. We are building an "arts-rich" community! You can trust that we will do great things with any resources we receive.

It's hard to believe how fast they grow up. Moccasin Creek Festival turns ten next summer! Summer Sundown turns 5! The Little Grassy Get Down turns 3, the Little Grassy Winter Songwriter Retreat turns 2 and we are gonna have a l'il baby: the LGW Songwriter Festival!
That's five annual events plus the Time to Kill Campout, Youth Open Mics, Songwriter Workshops, one-off shows and our new podcast, The Guest List.
Our annual budget has gone from $50,000 5 years ago to over $200,000 now. Almost the entire budget goes to programming (the rest goes to admin costs and to our hardworking staff that keeps the gears turning), and we are proud of all that we are able to accomplish with the means at our disposal. We are coming to your inbox today to ask for your support, and hoping that as you weigh your options, you find us deserving.
We have very much wanted/needed a golf cart for our festivals and for parades and we found the one that we think will perfectly suit our needs. It's a six seater, street legal. It has a flip down back seat that turns into a little flat bed, perfect for hauling gear and merchandise. We also need a trailer to haul the golf cart around. We figure the cart and trailer will cost about half of the $20,000 we hope to raise in this effort.
